It’s an outstanding opportunity for a service-oriented individual to help students begin their journey toward their new surgical technology careers.
As Program Director, you will be responsible for the direction and coordination of the Surgical Technology program in order to ensure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes which meet work place and placement expectations.
Candidates must have three (3) years practical experience as a Surgical Technician AND one (1) year experience in academia/education AND a minimum (2) years supervisor/management experience. Associate degree is required, but BA/BS preferred. Candidates must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to motivate instructors/students and instruct classes.

You will need excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to instruct classes and motivate students to learn. Your coaching skills will be needed to advise and tutor students through regular office hours and ad hoc sessions. To be successful in this environment, you'll use your ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, while still providing high quality service and great attention to detail.
You MUST have a minimum of three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist. Certified Surgical Technology is required. Prior Instructor experience is desired but not required.

Educator, Sterile Processing & Support
We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Development/Support Services Department for an individual to coordinate instructional curriculum and support evidence-based practice to enhance learner's competence. This includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating education and training of Sterile Processing and Support staff members to ensure professional development, as well as coordinating the research, evaluation and inservicing of new products.
To qualify, you should be a self-directed and motivated professional with experience as a Surgical Technologist and Sterile Processing Technician or Instrument Specialist, along with a current Central Supply Certification. An RN with OR experience whose looking for a new challenge will also be considered. Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience coordinating/teaching education programs is also necessary, as are technical computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to teach in formal and informal settings. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but an Associate's degree and current enrollment in a baccalaureate program will be accepted.
