This monthly journal is the premier publication for the surgical technology profession. As a member of AST, you receive this journal free every month. Author Guidelines

We invite all members of AST to write an article for any of our publications. No previous writing experience is necessary! If you or a colleague are interested, please refer to this pdf of AST's Author Guidelines, and send us an email.

Practitioners - Have you had an interesting case lately? Do you have a specialty or procedure that's especially important to you? How do you encourage teamwork in your O.R.? Other practitioners will benefit from hearing about you and your experiences. We're open to new ideas, as well as non-clinical topics. Send us an an email with an article idea.

Educators - Are you willing to share some success tips? Are you adding a distance learning component to your program? Did you have an interesting speaker, special event or demonstration recently? We want to see your photos and hear about what your program is doing. Send us an email.

State Assemblies - Workshops, annual meetings, special events: Take lots of pictures, and send them to us!

Students - Is there a surgical technology student club at your school? Have you taken the certification exam and want to share your experience - or advice - with other students who haven't taken it yet? Do you want to know what other students have experienced during their clinical rotations? Tell us.  Getting published is great for your resume!
