BE INFORMED
AST Business Sessions
The profession faces some daunting
challenges. Learn about them and
the responses that your professional
organization has been developing
the Business Sessions. Discover what
progress the profession has made and
what obstacles are presenting them-
selves now and in the future.
Business sessions provide windows
to the mechanics of the organiza-
tion’s functions and where the prac-
tice is heading. Who are the leaders?
What are the rising stars? How can
a member get involved? Where can
I learn more about legislation, state
assemblies and our partner organiza-
tions?
AST is administered by a Board
of Directors – each is a member just
like you who makes decisions that
determine the future of the organiza-
tion and the profession. By sitting
in on the business meetings, you get
to witness how their decisions may
affect your future and your right to
practice.
The first AST Business Session
follows Opening Ceremony on
Thursday, where you can learn about
the accomplishments that have been
made. The leaders of all four partner
organizations and committee chairs
will present their annual reports.
On Saturday, the second business
session occurs following AST elec-
tions, and the results will be an-
nounced for the offices of president,
vice president, treasurer and five
board members.
Take a seat, become informed and
witness the leaders of your profession
working to advance your future!
Love Hope Strength
In 2015, AST is again sponsoring
a bone marrow registry that we be
located in the registration area. Love
Hope Strength is an international,
music-centric cancer charity dedi-
cated to saving lives, one concert at
a time. They build and fund cancer
centers around the world, build
awareness of global caner needs and
build international marrow data-
bases.
In this instance, no pain does mean
a lot of gain. Just a quick check swab.
Love Hope Strength is underwrit-
ing all lab fees for this bone marrow
campaign. Eligibility criteria will be
posted on the conference page of the
website. No registration is necessary.
Please pay it forward and make a dif-
ferent in the lives of others!
