The FELLOW OF THE ASSOCIATION OF SURGICAL TECHNOLOGISTS (F.A.S.T.) designation is awarded to recognize those individuals who have upheld the highest professional, ethical and moral standards and traditions of the surgical technology profession, and whose professional activity has been devoted to the advancement of the profession towards improving the quality of surgical patient care.
In 200 words or less, please write a brief summary of how your service to the surgical technology profession and the Association of Surgical Technologists merits the designation of the F.A.S.T. award. (200 words maximum)

Service to the Profession
In chronological order, list participation of activities that support AST and the profession. Please include dates.
STATE SERVICE: For example, including but not limited to, spokesperson at the state legislative level and participation in mock surgery demonstrations for legislators; participation on state assembly committees and boards; regular attendance to state assembly meetings; presenter at state assembly meetings; participation in volunteer community activities that support the surgical technology profession and education, such as career fairs and community awareness projects.
NATIONAL SERVICE: For example: researcher or author; delegate to AST national conference; participation on national committees and boards; regular attendance to AST national conference; presenter at AST national programs.
