Stay Vigilant Against Phishing Scams

AST has received multiple reports showing suspicious emails that appear to be coming from AST President Joseph Charleman.
The AST Board of Directors and AST staff will NEVER email you asking you to make deposits or purchase gift cards on their behalf.
Phishing emails are unfortunately on the rise, but you can take steps to protect yourself.
• Open only verified emails that come from verified/known addresses.
• Always check the email address even if the name appears recognizable. In this recent case, our president’s name was normal, but the email address was not.
• Delete scam emails immediately.
• Do not respond to scam emails.
• Do not click on any links or attachments in these emails.
