National Surgical Technologists Week is almost here, and we’re thrilled to introduce the 7 Stars of Excellence categories, each celebrating exceptional talents and achievements within our field! Throughout the week, we'll spotlight each category. If you know someone—or if you fit into one of these categories—be sure to submit a nomination for a chance to be featured and win awesome prizes. 

Surgical Star Pose

This year, we’re excited to announce our new “Star Pose” competition! We’re celebrating the incredible spirit of our surgical technologists in a fun and creative way. Show us your best Star Pose—whether it’s a confident stance in the OR, a pose with your instruments, or a group shot with your fellow techs. 

Wall of Stars

The Wall of Stars is a visual celebration of our surgical technologists' achievements and excellence. It's a dedicated space within the hospital where we showcase the stars of our surgical team, highlighting their unique skills, positive impact, and commitment to surgical excellence.

How it Works:

1. Access the Template:

• Click on the template button to open the Canva template. Make sure you click the "Use template for new design" button.

2. Customize the Template:

• Replace Images: To personalize the template with your own staff's photos, click on an existing image. Then, click "Uploads" in the left menu, upload your desired photo, and drag it into the template to replace the existing one.
• Edit Text: Click on any text box to edit the information. You can include the name, unique skills, and achievements of your surgical technologists.
• Add More Elements: Use Canva's features to add shapes, icons, or additional text boxes to further customize your Wall of Stars.

3. Save and Download:

• Once you are satisfied with the customization, click on the "Share" button at the top right corner.
• Select "Download" from the dropdown menu.
• Choose your preferred file type (PDF for printing, PNG/JPG for digital use) and click "Download."

4. Print or Display

Be sure to share with us your Wall of Stars!
